SDG AND COVID-19 VIRTUAL MEETUPS
SDGs and Covid-19 SPEED HACKATHON
The Virtual SDG Meetup is implemented by Ennovate Hub and supported by AfriLabs and French Development Agency. Having a startup community of over hundreds of entrepreneurs that are working daily to grow their business through enterprise support initiatives, we believe that the virtual SDG and COVID-19 meetup will be a premium platform for start-ups and Innovators to engage with experts, investors, Enterprise Support Organization in harnessing collaborative opportunities to work together in developing new or improving existing solutions that are addressing key problems around the SDGs and COVID-19. The meetup is in 2 series; first series being a virtual workshop that was facilitated by company builders, investors and developmental organizations that are working directly with the SDGs and the second series will be a hackathon, where participating start-ups and innovators will team into groups to design tech driven solutions around the output from the workshops discussion.
After SDG Workshops, We are notifying and informing all innovators to submit tech-based ideas that are addressing problems around SDG 3 or 8, and it is mitigating the effect of COVID-19 on lives and economy. The submitted ideas will be reviewed and top 5 innovations will be invited to join the hackathon. The innovators will be supported to design desirable and sustainable solutions during the hackathon and they will have the opportunity to pitch their solution. The winning team will be awarded with 500 Euros and incubation support at Ennovate Hub.
Interested entrepreneur must have an innovative and disruptive idea in developing new or improving existing solutions that are addressing key problems around the SDGs and COVID-19 .
Any Innovator with An idea related to the SDG 3 and 8 has an opportunity to participate and win the funds.
Applicants are required to be residents of Tanzania preferably Dar es Salaam during the time of the hackathon
Any Applicant with no age limit can apply for this opportunity.
Female entrepreneurs are highly encouraged to submit their business ideas
